Education

  • BA in Asian languages and literature in 1997.
  • MS in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Bastyr University in 2000.
  • Doctoral degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Bastyr University in 2009.

Past Experience

  • Completed two years of AOM residency training at Bastyr Center for Natural Health from 2002-2004.
  • Published a book with Dr. Chongyun Liu and Dr. Angela Tseng, Chinese Herbal Medicine: Modern Applications of Traditional Formulas,” in 2003.
  • Completed a two-month herbal internship with a focus in oncology at Chengdu University of TCM and Shanghai University of TCM in 2008.

Current Roles
Dr. Yang-Eng has been a clinical core faculty member of Bastyr University since 2004.

Classes Taught
Dr. Yang-Eng teaches AOM Clinic Entry and Acupuncture Techniques Lab.

Interests
Dr. Yang-Eng has a special interest in oncology, musculoskeletal injuries and women’s health.

Philosophy
Dr. Yang-Eng believes that her role is to help patients improve their quality of life through the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She shares her knowledge and educates patients on making manageable lifestyle changes to achieve a more harmonious balance of body, mind and spirit.
