Current Roles
Debra is the chair of the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science, and also serves as the Bastyr University Dietetic Internship director.

Classes Taught
Debra previously taught Nutrition Assessment and Therapy I and II and Nutrition and Aging. She continues to teach the seminar classes held for the dietetic interns.

Interests
Debra has strong interests in the relationship between food, lifestyle and health. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and sharing good food with others.

Philosophy
Debra believes in a whole foods approach to nutrition. Her teaching philosophy focuses on creating a learning environment in which students are enthusiastically supported to reach their fullest potential. Her mission is to support the development of extraordinary nutrition professionals.
