Past Experience
Dr Takakura practiced in Bellevue, Washington between 2003 and 2004, and then moved to Lombard, IL in 2004 to earn a chiropractic degree at National University of Health Science. During that time, he maintained a private practice at The Brannick Clinic of Natural Medicine in Riverside, IL. In 2005, Dr. Takakura moved to Colorado and practiced at Fountain Creek Wellness Center in Manitou Springs, CO until 2006, when he accepted a teaching position at Bastyr.
Current Roles
Dr. Takakura is a core faculty member in the Department of Physical Medicine at Bastyr University and supervises on-campus appointments. He also serves as an advisor for Bastyr's Sports Medicine Club.
Interests
Dr Takakura has a special interest in physical medicine and pain management.
Philosophy
Dr. Takakura believes that true wellness is achieved by what people do everyday and not what happens during the visit. He believes his job is to remove road blocks to health and to empower people to take charge of their health.
