Past Experience
Dr. Kirk has been teaching graduate-level nutrition at the University of Washington since 2000, and joined the faculty at Bastyr University in 2007.
Current Roles
Core faculty member in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences (formerly the School of Nutrition and Exercise Science) since 2007.

Interests
Dr. Kirk's research interests include atherosclerosis, obesity, insulin resistance, and sports nutrition.
Philosophy
Dr. Kirk believes that her role as an educator is to organize and deliver information in a way that encourages students to 1) learn and 2) want to learn more. She tries to accommodate different learning styles in her teaching, and encourages interactive discussion and peer learning in her classes.
