It's a joy to go to Bastyr University. There is so much to experience here. The student to instructor ratio allows me to have immediate access to faculty members who are working hard to see me succeed. And the small class sizes promote a group cohesion that I truly appreciate. There is a community here that is willing to help you 100 percent of the time. All of this makes me want to pursue graduate studies just to continue my education at Bastyr!
As an exercise science and wellness student, I'm interested in building a career around improving the health of America's workforce through wellness education and training. I believe I can create a paradigm shift in the way people view work and health, moving them away from the popular perception that busy schedules mean no time for wellness. Bastyr encourages me to think outside the box and pursue my dreams.
And yet the path to academic success here isn't easy. You must come prepared to work, to learn, to share and to be open. And you must come with no prejudgments. Be prepared to laugh when you want to cry and go a little further when you want to sleep. When you graduate, Bastyr will have prepared you to help more people achieve wellness than you ever thought possible.
