I have always been interested in exercise and sports, and Bastyr University offers the only exercise science program that focuses on the body, mind and spirit. I love that the program is not just about working out and getting better physically, but also mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
Bastyr has helped me personally, and since coming here I have definitely become a more "well" person. I have learned so much. Through my program and through talking to people in different programs, I’ve realized that the definition of wellness is different for everyone.
After I graduate, I plan to work in research in the areas of cardiology or oncology. There are a lot of new studies on the positive effects of exercise therapy for patients in cardiac rehabilitation and in cancer recovery, so these are very promising areas for exercise science graduates.
My education has been worth every penny and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The faculty is wonderful and helpful. I’ve had an amazing experience at Bastyr and I would recommend it to anyone.
