February 24-28 National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

This nationwide effort to raise awareness around eating disorders will be supported by Bastyr University Nutrition & Exercise students through student-led community events at the Kenmore campus.

Come visit the interactive table and talk with Bastyr Nutrition & Exercise students, to share your experiences, learn more, and gather resources. 

Health At Every Size: A New Paradigm for Learning to Love Our Bodies

Tuesday February 25 12-12:50 PM Room 184

This panel discussion will be comprised of professionals who work with eating disorders and disordered eating from a Health At Every Size (HAES) perspective. Attendees will leave with insight into how this perspective offers unique ideas and considerations for working with patients and clients of all sizes. Opal Food and Body Wisdom: A Holistic and Empowering Approach to Eating Disorder Treatment

Wednesday February 26 12-12:50 Room 184

This presentation from Seattle's very own Opal Food and Body Wisdom will focus on Opal's unique approach to eating disorder treatment.  Opal's program is special for many reasons, and one such reason is they are one of the only eating disorder treatment facilities in the Seattle area that explicitly adopt an intuitive eating and Health at Every Size approach to eating disorder recovery. Local Eating Disorder Facility Fair

Thursday February 27 11 AM-1 PM Hallway to Bookstore

Visit tables and talk with representatives from local eating disorder treatment facilities. They will be available to share their knowledge and resources with the Bastyr community.
