Bastyr Center for Natural Health — Patient Visit
Visit the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and gain first-hand experience of one of the clinical modalities offered (acupuncture, naturopathic medicine or nutrition) as a patient.

This course covers the identification, selection, storage, preparation and production of whole foods. Cooking techniques and menu planning are stressed. With cooking practice, students develop familiarity with minimally processed foods and use these foods to build culinary expertise.

Explore qigong — the building, harnessing and proper directing of qi (energy). Through proper exercise and instruction, students experience qigong as a valuable resource for self-healing and building energy.

Botanical Field Study
Spend a day out in the Puget Sound region observing plants in various stages of development (with an emphasis on plant families that contain local medicinal species).
