A presentation by acclaimed writer and speaker Michael Pollan, author of In Defense of Food and The New York Times best-seller The Omnivore's Dilemma, will kick off Bastyr University's Annual Founders' Day Weekend celebration. Pollan, a food writer and environmentalist, will speak Thursday evening at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle.
On Saturday evening a Mission and Founders' Awards Gala celebrating Mission Award honoree Dwayne J. Clark, CEO and chairman of Aegis Living, will be held at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.
