Research Shows Qigong May Help People with Type 2 Diabetes

A team of Bastyr scientists recently completed the first clinical research study examining qigong therapy for type 2 diabetes. The study's conclusions promote qigong — a subtle, energy-based system of stationary and moving meditation practiced in China for almost 5,000 years — as a significant treatment method for the disease. Study participants who practiced qigong lowered stress and blood glucose levels, lost weight, and showed an improved ability to use insulin. Learn more.
