Breema is a practical, truly holistic approach to becoming present by unifying body, mind and feelings. It consists of two body-based components—Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises—and nine universal principles. Practiced fully clothed on a comfortably padded floor, Breema uses natural rhythmic movements that are both nurturing and energizing. Practicing Breema and its principles invites a receptive mind, supportive feelings and a vital body. The workshop is appropriate for health practitioners wishing to apply what they learn with their patients, the public wishing to practice with family members, and anyone wishing to enhance their own self-care. October 7 & 8, Sat 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Sun 9:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Room 186 Instructor: Jon Schreiber. (10 CEUs, PDAs, CMEs)

45 million Americans have tinnitus and approximately 90% of them have an underlying hearing loss. There are a lot of dangerous misconceptions about tinnitus, including the notion that there isn’t much we can do about it, false advertizing by supplement companies claiming to posses a magic pill to treat it, as well as the idea that it is one specific symptom, when it has many faces and causes. Many patients are told there is either nothing that can be done, prescribed strong medications, or misdirected away from treatment options that might actually work (such as hearing aids). Let’s talk about what tinnitus really means for your patients, what tinnitus can tell you about a patient’s internal state, and how your treatment plan for tinnitus can ripple in to many important areas of wellness. Date: October 7, 2017 Time: 9:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Instructor: Alexandra deGroot, AuD 2.5 CEUs available
