Congratulations to these six "Top Doc" Alumni!

Each year, Washington's health practitioners nominate their most esteemed peers for the acclaimed Seattle Met "Top Docs."  Seattle Met Magazine then choses doctors to be a "Top Doc" based on "years of experience, competency, rapport with patients, patient satisfaction and compliance with care recommendations, and ability to work effectively with colleagues across specialties to deliver the best patient care."

This year, Bastyr is proud to claim six alumni on the 2017 Top Doc list.

Dr. Corsilles merges naturopathic and allopathic medicine through the combination of his education at Bastyr and his Physician Assistant certification to meet the increasing demand for integrated healthcare. He provides a well-rounded plan of care to his patients, while fostering a mutually respectful relationship with each patient to promote a team approach to medicine. As a member of the team at Eastside Primary Care & Wellnes, Corsilles focuses on family medicine, specializing in digestive issues, obesity, fibromyalgia, and endocrinology disorders (hormonal imbalances, adrenal fatigue, thyroid disease and diabetes).
Dr. Karp is board certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture and is certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) utilizing acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy for detoxification, addictions and mental disorders. In 2013, she completed "Comprehensive Perspectives on the Diagnosis, Treatment and Management of Infertility," an extensive training through the Jade Institute and works with various conditions providing an integrated approach to wellness utilizing acupuncture, diet and lifestyle counseling, botanicals, and physical medicine. At the Institute of Complementary Medicine, Karp specializes in preventive medicine and Women’s Health with a focus in pre-conception care and fertility for both women and men, digestive and endocrine disorders, pain management, allergies, anxiety, insomnia, and mood disorders. She believes strongly in fostering the body’s innate ability to heal itself and enjoys empowering patients to pay i major role in their health and well-being.
Dr. Klausmeyer has built upon his degree from Bastyr with certification in craniosacral therapy by the Upledger Institute and training as a meditation teacher from Shambhava School of Yoga. He practices general naturopathic medicine with special interest in physical medicine (spinal adjusting, craniosacral therapy, physiotherapies, injury rehab, dry needling); customized weight loss programs; mood disorders; adrenal/ hormonal conditions; men’s health; IV therapy and care for the LGBTQ community. Dr. Klausmeyer was previously chosen as a Seattle Met Top Doc in 2014 and 2016..
Dr. Lesnak began her career with a three-year residency in family medicine at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. She has experience as a birth doula and additional training in Homeopathy and Craniosacral Therapy.  She also has done rotations at Seattle Children’s Hospital, The Kid’s Clinic, and the Evergreen Emergency Department.  Currently, Dr. Lesnak is supervising the naturopathic shift at the West Seattle High School and teaching at Bastyr University.  As a member of the clinical team at West Seattle Natural Medicine, she focuses on pediatric care for patients of all ages, including newborns, and has an interest in women’s health, specifically during the pre and postnatal period.
Dr. Perry is a recognized as a leader in the field of sports therapy. With his training as a naturopathic practitioner and an acupuncturist, Dr. Perry's approach combines conventional sports medicine, natural pharmaceutics and nutrition, and ancient, eastern medicine therapeutics. Recognized as one of Seattle’s Top Physicians and Seattle's Top Acupuncturists by both Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan over multiple years, his unique and natural approach to sports injuries, sports nutrition, rehabilitation and natural performance enhancement has attracted some of the top professional athletes in the world to his practice. While at Bastyr, Dr. Perry served as a clinician in many specialties such as: Physical Medicine, Harborview Outpatient Clinic for Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, and did his preceptorships with outstanding physicians, working at Group Health Pediatric Urgent Care and at a Physical and Rehab Naturopathic Clinic. 

 

Dr. Simon currently sees Physical Medicine patients at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, as well as Fit Wellness Centers. He also supervises the community care site at Ballard Northwest Senior Activity Center. Physical Medicine visits offer many ways to improve your well-being, recover from your injuries and strengthen your immune system. Patients that see Dr. Simon are often referred due to certain health concerns such as muscle strains, arthritic and other types of pain, as well as detoxification and immune support. Dr. Simon uses diet, nutrition, herbs, biofeedback, counseling, functional exercises and more to help the body maintain a fit and healthy condition.
