PCC Cooks on presents "Fabulous Fresh Fall Flavors" on Bastyr Campus, October 17

Bastyr University's Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science is pleased to continue their partnership with PCC Natural Markets to offer inspiring, hands-on cooking classes! This spring, PCC Cooks is holding several cooking classes in Bastyr's state-of-the-art teaching kitchen. Many of the PCC Cooks instructors are Bastyr graduates or faculty members, so it's only natural that we team up with PCC. And if you haven't already visited our beautiful teaching kitchen we encourage you to experience it first-hand by registering for one or more of the offered classes.

PCC Cooks
PCC Cooks features dozens of fun, idea-inspiring classes for experienced cooks and food-loving novices alike.

PCC Cooks classes center on great-tasting natural cooking techniques, presented by professional chefs and experienced instructors, including Bastyr's nutrition alumni and faculty, who are dedicated to using the freshest ingredients like locally grown produce, wild-caught fish and healthy whole grains.

Fabulous Fresh Fall Flavors

Savor the flavors of the season with the best produce the region has to offer, included in comforting recipes. Ami Karnosh will have you making dishes that complement and celebrate the abundant produce of autumn while switching over to foods that help you get in tune with the changing weather. You’ll make Baba Ghanouj (roasted eggplant spread) served with Pita Bread; Cranberry and Barley-stuffed Squash; and Herb-roasted Sweet Potatoes over Fresh Greens. You’ll be ready for the autumn chill with a warming sweet-spicy Apple Ginger Switchel, a traditional, colonial American harvest-time drink. Vegetarian, with dairy options; no eggs.
