Type 2 Diabetes and Qigong (Energy Medicine) Study
If you have type 2 diabetes, you're invited to participate in a 12-week study comparing qigong therapy (energy medicine) to mild exercise or conventional care only in type 2 diabetes!
(Qigong therapy is a subtle energy based Chinese system of
sitting and moving meditation practices.)
Criteria for being a study participant:
Age 18 - 65
Using diet or oral medications to control your diabetes
Able to attend five study visits at Bastyr University over 12 weeks
Not suffer from liver, kidney or cardiovascular disease
Able to maintain a consistent diet during the 12 week study
Willing to get blood drawn on five different occasions
Able to engage in mild exercise
Compensation up to $125.00 available upon completion of study.
