Admissions Outreach/Administrative Assistant II (#19-027)


Bastyr University is seeking an enthusiastic new member of the Admissions and Student Services team! This person will have the primary responsibility of telephone and email outreach for new inquiries to Bastyr programs, a very important part of the recruiting process; the primary goal is to convert outreach calls/emails to advising appointments. 

  • Energetic personality that is driven to call prospective students that have contacted the university and schedule them with advising appointments
  • Passion and familiarity for higher education and naturopathic medicine and natural/holistic/complementary health care highly desired
  • Provide exemplary customer service while maintaining professional relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication required
  • 1 year experience in a high profile customer service position that required attention to detail, customer interaction, and data entry/record keeping.
  • Team player; ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Driven; must have a desire to reach goals
  • Familiar with Office software and general database knowledge
  • Critical thinker, can “think outside of the box” and troubleshoot challenges
  • Experience in high-traffic/volume front office settings. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast paced office environment, including some receptionist experience
  • Ability to multitask, “change gears” quickly
  • Positive attitude and demeanor, our students are #1
  • Associates degree or a combination of education and work experience

Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday

$18 per hour; Bastyr University offers a comprehensive benefits package.
