Bastyr University, a private regionally accredited institution, is accepting applications for a faculty position in the Department of Nutrition and Basic Sciences in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences at its San Diego, California campus.
Instructional duties and responsibilities include physiology, research design and possibly neuroscience. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with both basic science and clinical faculty in the delivery of a systems-based integrated medical curriculum and use innovative instructional methods in lab and lecture.
Candidate must have a PhD in Physiology or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching medical students and a strong commitment to mentoring.
Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Position will begin on September 23rd, 2019. Salary range $61,401.41 - $81,093.24 working 40 hours per week. Ranking dependent on qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to candidates previously ranked as assistant or associate professor at a regionally accredited institution.
