Events and Projects Coordinator


Bastyr University’s Office of Admissions has a fantastic opportunity for an Events and Projects Coordinator. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and work closely with the advising and recruitment team.

Essential Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute campus, clinic, national and online admissions events.
  • Coordinate event logistics (e.g., facility reservations, catering, audio visual, staffing).
  • Write, edit and coordinate event/program marketing and messaging to ensure a coordinated customer experience (e.g., email announcements to prospective students, web calendar content, presentation content, social media posts).
  • Coordinate and manage event communications with prospective students, registrants, faculty, and staff.
  • Compile, track and analyze data (e.g., registration trends, event evaluations, event effectiveness in acquiring new prospects, market trends).
  • Evaluate events and make recommendations for event changes/additions.
  • Establish relationships and coordinate events with academic program coordinators and administrative departments.
  • Facilitate and advise national recruitment strategy, goals, objectives and tactics (e.g., gather data, schedule meetings, lead discussion, identify follow-up action items and timeline, follow-up to ensure action items are completed).
  • Recruit alumni to speak at admissions events and complete required contracts and travel forms.
  • Coordinate equipment and supplies for admissions events and programs (e.g., promotional items, banners, table drapes, electronic devices and accessories).
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 2-4 years event operations (planning and logistics) preferred.
  • 2-4 years of event/program marketing preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to utilize automated email systems, web content, social media for event marketing.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and steward relationships.
  • Ability to manage several ongoing projects, prioritize associate tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data/feedback and make changes/recommendations accordingly.
  • Ability to think creatively in imagining new event activities/approaches/programs.
  • Ability to turn an idea into an actionable plan and implement that plan.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of higher education and/or complementary and alternative medicine a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree.


Schedule: M-F 8-5, including some nights and weekends.

Salary: $46,000-49,000. Comprehensive Benefits Package
