Full-Time Faculty Counseling and Health Psychology


Bastyr University, a private regionally accredited institution, invites applications for an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Health Psychology in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences at its Kenmore (15 miles North of Seattle), Washington campus and our Seattle teaching clinic starting in July/September 2018.   

The Department seeks an associate professor to lead a program dedicated to multidisciplinary and integrated approaches to promoting the well-being of the mind, body and spirit. The person chosen for this position will be a core faculty member with administrative responsibilities to support our weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Responsibilities include: teaching, clinical supervision, scholarship, student mentorship, curriculum development, and involvement in departmental and university activities.




Candidates must have a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited institution with doctoral level license eligibility in the State of Washington, or commensurate education and experience. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice is required, and experience focused within health psychology, working within interdisciplinary health care settings, and prior administrative/leadership duties are highly desirable.


Hiring range: Salary and ranking DOE. Preference will be given to candidates previously ranked as assistant or associate professor at a regionally accredited institution. Bastyr University offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation package.
