Bastyr University is now hiring a Patient Services Representative I for our San Diego Campus. We are seeking a friendly, team oriented and hardworking individual as the first line of contact in our fast-paced medical clinic front office.
Duties include scheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics, check-in, check-out, multi-line phones, medical records scanning, referral authorizations, insurance verifications both online & over the phone, and collecting co-pays and amounts due at appointments.
Candidates must have previously worked in a setting where excellent customer service is a priority. Needs to be reliable, self-motivated, enjoy working with people, handle stressful situations in a professional manner, and be detail oriented and punctual. This person must be able to multi-task and work under time pressure in a busy clinic environment. Familiarity with Natural Medicine is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; College or post high school training desired. ‘Epic’ practice management software experience a plus. Must have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess familiarity with Practice Management software.
This position is 24-32 hours per week to start (July 02-27). Consideration for full-time (40 hours per week) after 07/30/2018. Will include some evenings and an occasional Saturday.
