Student Billing and Customer Service Specialist #19-036


Bastyr University has an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a Student Billing and Customer Service Specialist. Based at our campus in Kenmore, WA, the Specialist will serve on a team of two as the primary liaison between the finance department and our student population of over 1,000 between our campuses in Kenmore, Seattle, and San Diego. This position will report directly to the Controller.

•Work directly with student population to collect payments, answer questions, and serve as primary contact for students to the finance department.

•Coordinate student billings and living expense refunds on a timely basis.

•Reconcile student billing system with general ledger on a quarterly basis.

•Work directly with collection agencies and other third parties as appropriate.


• Excellent customer service skills, and advanced time management skills are required

•High School Diploma required; some college preferred

•Three years of experience in customer service and/or accounting, including exposure to A/R is required (University setting preferred)

•Ability to prepare clear, concise reports for management and work cross-functionally with other departments

•Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Suite skills required
