Bastyr University is now hiring a Temporary Patient Services Representative I for our San Diego Campus. We are seeking a friendly, team oriented and hardworking individual as the first line of contact in our fast paced medical clinic front office.
Duties include scheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics, check-in, check-out, multi-line phones, referral authorizations, insurance verifications both online and over the phone, and collecting co-pays and amounts due at appointments.
Candidates must have previously worked in a setting where excellent customer service is a priority. Needs to be reliable, self-motivated, enjoy working with people, handle stressful situations in a professional manner, and be detail oriented and punctual. This person must be able to multi-task and work under time pressure in a busy clinic environment. Familiarity with Natural Medicine is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; College or post high school training desired. ‘Epic’ practice management software experience a plus. Must have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess familiarity with Practice Management software.
This position is 32 hours per week. Monday-Friday an occasional Saturday.
Hiring Range: starts at $16.40 an hour
