Overindulging is one of the joys we all look forward to when the holidays approach, but it's also something many of us prefer to do wisely. Although much of our holiday tradition revolves around calorie-rich foods, there are plenty of tricks you can apply to create festive snacks that lean more toward the nutritious side.
Learn a few of these tricks and more at the free talk "How to Make Healthy Holiday Snacks" from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013. Advanced students in Bastyr University's Master of Science in Nutrition program will share tips under the guidance of faculty supervisor Kelly Morrow, MS, RD, CD.
This talk coincides with the Bastyr Dispensary Holiday Extravaganza, which offers 20 percent of natural gift items from Dec. 2-7, and is part of the free series "Living Naturally: Conversations on Health and Happiness with Bastyr Experts." Presented by Bastyr University and its teaching clinic, Bastyr Center for Natural Health. All of the talks take place at Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle and feature an audience Q-and-A session.
