Past Experience
Sheila Capestany has worked for the last twenty seven years in both the public and nonprofit human services sector in direct service, nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and legislative and policy work. She previously served for eight years as the Executive Director of Open Arms Perinatal Services, a community-based organization that provides support to low income individuals and families during the perinatal period.
Interests
Sheila is interested in the connections between local and global maternal & child health and early learning efforts, and supporting community-based efforts worldwide.
Philosophy
Sheila is passionate about social justice, health equity and wellbeing for all women, children and their families.
