Rebecca Kern is currently Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Midwifery at Bastyr University.
Before coming to Bastyr University, Rebecca was a Midwife at Passageway Midwifery, Gig Harbor Washington from 2014-2015 and owner/midwife of South Sound Holistic Midwifery, Gig Harbor Washington. She is currently the resident herbalist at Orchard Botanicals Organic Herb Farm since 2015 as well as a Founder/Herbalist/Community Education at Harbor Herbalist, since 2009.
She has a special interest and respect for the role of food and medicinal plants during this childbearing year. When imbalance, discomforts, or minor complications develop, balance can usually be quickly restored with careful and individualized nutritional and herbal counseling.
Her main interests are mothering, midwifery, tending to her organic herb and food farm, spending time in wild spaces, and sharing herbal knowledge.
