Serve as a first line of response for students, faculty and staff, when they come to the department for information assistance via walk-in, phone or email. Gather information needed for proper response, refer if necessary, and make appointments with appropriate personnel for quick resolution.

Responsible for various administrative duties for the department which includes reports, correspondence, photocopying, mailing, and compiling information.

Track office supply inventory and order items as needed.

Maintain/update forms, calendars, and various departmental correspondence.

Other administrative duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Ability to prioritize and manage several detailed tasks concurrently and work well under deadlines.

Ability to work independently and remain flexible; must be self-directed.

Ease and proficiency in customer service, ability to be sensitive to a variety of people, problem solve, and refer appropriately.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to communicate effectively and interact respectfully with a constant flow of students, faculty and staff.

Attention to detail in terms of processing quantities,

Patience and good sense of humor.

Proficient skills using MS Office Suite and Outlook.

Qualifications: 

Two years of progressively responsible experience in an office environment providing customer service.  Experience in Colleges or Universities preferred.

Two years of post-secondary education required.  Bachelor’s degree in any job related area preferred.

Pay: $17-18/hour with comprehensive benefits package.
