This Introduction to Bowenwork will teach you how the bodywork technique can help acute and chronic health conditions in all age groups.

Introduction to BowenworkBring your lunch and learn about Bowenwork, a soft-tissue bodywork technique developed in the early 1950s in Australia by Tom Bowen. The technique involves applying specialized “moves” to specific areas of the body to facilitate the release of dysfunctional tension patterns within the neuromuscular and fascial systems. The technique promotes optimal postural realignment, internal organ function and overall relaxation, and is helpful for acute and chronic health conditions in babies, children and adults.

This Introduction to Bowenwork will be presented by Sandra Gustafson, RN, BSN, who was trained in Bowenwork by the founders of the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and has been an accredited Bowenwork practitioner since 1991. Gustafson teaches the upcoming workshop Bowenwork Core Fundamentals on March 9-10, 2013, through the Bastyr University Department of Certificate, Community and Continuing Education.
