Vitamin Injections
In addition to IV therapy, Bastyr offers intramuscular (IM) nutrient injections, which can be scheduled during most naturopathic medicine shifts.

For patient safety and clinical appropriateness, all new IV therapy patients must complete an Initial IV Therapy Consultation before receiving treatment.
This visit includes:
- Review of medical history
- Assessment of indications and contraindications
- Evaluation of laboratory data
Patients must have recent laboratory results (within 60 days), including:
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) – to assess kidney function
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- G6PD (if receiving Vitamin C over 10grams)
- OR written clearance from a primary care physician with attached labs.
If these labs are not available, they may be ordered by your Bastyr clinician prior to initiating IV therapy.
Hydration IVs and IV pushes cannot be administered without prior consultation and appropriate lab review.
Once cleared, patients may schedule follow-up IV therapy sessions as recommended by their care team. Protocol frequency and duration will vary depending on your individual treatment plan.
IV therapy sessions typically last between 30–90 minutes depending on the formulation. During your visit:
- You will be seated comfortably in a supervised clinical setting
- Your IV will be administered by trained clinical staff
- Vital signs and response will be monitored throughout treatment
