Sean Congdon
ND
Dr. Congdon (he/him/his) is a provider in Practitioner Care, the private practice wing of the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle. He also substitutes as a supervisor for student physicians in the Department of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Congdon is committed to holistic health care and begins each patient relationship with a thorough and detailed intake. He recognizes human health is part of a complex system that includes genetics, environment, cultural, social and family interactions and the internal dynamic physiological and biochemical systems of the body. This informs clinical choices to help his patients find answers to the cause of their health problems. And to select appropriate evidence-based therapies.
He uses a combination of nutrition, botanical and functional medicine approaches with behavioral and traditional naturopathic therapies. He offers primary care to his patients, including interests in prevention as well as autoimmune, allergy and endocrine-based health problems, plus specialty care in gastrointestinal conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Congdon enjoys spending time with his family and his children, including hiking, biking, cooking and gardening. He is also a student of Aikido for decades.
