Biography

Dr. Leap has over 20 years of teaching experience in both secondary and post-secondary settings. She enjoys teaching in both traditional classroom and online settings with an emphasis in working with graduate level students who are pursuing degrees in Exercise Science and Health and Human Performance. She takes a very student-centered approach to teaching that often results in exceptional student retention.

A former Educator of the Year in Missouri, her work began in the classroom teaching anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and palpation, and biomechanics classes to students enrolled in massage therapy programs at Missouri College. That work led to her becoming an educational administrator and she has spent time and served in Director of Education and Campus President positions during her career.

As a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, she has received multiple awards, most notably a Distinguished Alumni award for her work in raising awareness and money for chiropractic research. She was one of two of the original founders of the Tour de Spine and organized a sponsored 1200-mile bike ride that included riders from various chiropractic colleges and rode from St. Louis to Orlando to the ACA convention.

She has a passion for fitness, is an advocate for women’s health issues, and is a working mother. She and her family live in St. Louis, Missouri.
