Bastyr University’s Department of Midwifery offers two degrees, one that prepares students to take the exam to become a Certified Professional Midwife, and another for the birth professional who want to become involved in transforming perinatal and postpartum health systems including at the policy level. Both of our programs prepare students who become leaders in the fields of midwifery and maternal child health with some specializing in advocacy and community-based work, and others in research and Botanical Medicine.
