Military and Veteran Students

Bastyr University is proud to be a Yellow Ribbon school, and welcomes veterans interested in the natural health arts and sciences. It is strongly recommended that prospective students considering utilizing Tuition Assistance (TA) receive approval from their Educational Services Officer (ESO) prior to enrollment and show approval to the university School Certifying Official (SCO).

As an approved participant in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Yellow Ribbon program, individuals who qualify for the post-9/11 GI Bill® are eligible for additional funding to help them achieve their educational goal.

Brian T.

Army Veteran to Future ND

At Bastyr University, we’re proud to support military and veteran students on their path to a career in natural medicine. Army veteran Brian Trainor first came to Bastyr as a patient, and the experience inspired him to pursue naturopathic medicine. As a student, he received a fellowship to support licensure efforts and attended Lobby Day in New York to advocate for integrative care for veterans. Watch Brian’s story to learn more.
