Hazel Philp
ND, LAc
Hazel Philp, ND, LAc is an Associate Professor in the School of Naturopathic Medicine. Her teaching philosophy is to keep it simple and to empower patients' insights into what the obstacles to cure might be, and how best to navigate forward (rather than backward) to their best health available.
Dr. Philp has been practicing both naturopathic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine since 1997 and has been in private practice and teaching clinical medicine since then at three different higher institutions, returning to Bastyr University in 2006. Her focus is on providing patients with insight into their health challenges and encouraging a sense of empowerment in order for her patients to achieve their health goals. To that end, Dr. Philp works to simplify the steps necessary for assessing and treating her patients' health conditions and screening exams through education and experience.
