Nick Rose
MS
Mr. Rose is an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at Bastyr University.
Professor Rose advises graduate students pursuing the nutrition research (thesis) track and teaches courses in research methods, biostatistics, community nutrition, and writing about food and health. Professor Rose has over ten years of experience working as a community nutrition educator, teaching nutrition classes in a wide range of community settings, writing about food and nutrition trends for print and online publications, and advocating for policies supporting healthier and more sustainable food systems. His current research explores how people use food labels when assessing the healthfulness of packaged foods in the marketplace, including how people define and conceptualize natural and healthy foods.
