Bastyr University, a private non-profit regionally accredited institution, invites applications for an assistant/associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Health Psychology in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences at its Kenmore, Washington campus, and our Seattle teaching clinic.

Duties: Teaching and supervising in a master’s program committed to developing exceptional clinicians within a program dedicated to promoting the well-being of the mind, body and spirit. A demonstrated interest in teaching courses related to clinical skill development and health psychology is desired. Responsibilities include: graduate-focused teaching, with opportunities for undergraduate courses, clinical supervision, scholarship, student mentorship, and involvement in departmental and university activities.

Counseling & Health Psychology
Position type: 

Candidates must have a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a nationally accredited program and license eligibility in the State of Washington, or commensurate education and experience. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice is required, and experience focused within health psychology and working within interdisciplinary health care settings are highly desirable.


Hiring range: Salary and ranking DOE. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of academic teaching and those previously ranked as an associate or assistant professor at a regionally accredited institution.
