Bastyr University, a private non-profit regionally accredited institution, invites applications for the Director of Clinical Training, an associate/full professor in the Department of Counseling and Health Psychology in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences at its Kenmore, Washington campus (15 miles North of Seattle), and our Seattle teaching clinic.
Director of Clinical Training duties are in a master’s program committed to developing exceptional clinicians within a program dedicated to culturally-responsive practice and the well-being of the mind, body and spirit. Duties include creating and sustaining relationships with community practicum sites, supporting students in site selection, application, and successful completion of practicum positions, leading clinical training initiatives at the University outpatient teaching clinic, and related duties advancing clinical education and training. A demonstrated excellence in teaching courses related to clinical skill development is required. Responsibilities include: clinical training/administration, graduate-focused teaching, clinical supervision, scholarship, student mentorship, and involvement in departmental and university activities.
Candidates must have a doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a nationally accredited program and license eligibility in the State of Washington, or commensurate education and experience. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice is required, and experience focused within health psychology and working within interdisciplinary health care settings are highly desirable.
