Bastyr University is seeking an Executive Assistant to the President. This position provides executive level administrative support to the President of Bastyr University and independently manages a variety of administrative operations within the Executive Office. The President is the senior executive within the University. The Office of President is the functional center of the University, providing the guidance and driving force for action and academic excellence in the education of complimentary and integrative medicine practitioners. The Executive Assistant will report directly to the President. The Executive Assistant will be required to expertly and sensitively triage and manage administrative work associated with the President's position. In addition, this individual provides oversight, direction and management of specified operational and administrative activities. The complexities of oversight and management of the Office of the President are substantial. The individual in this position must understand the rhythm of various meetings, functions and events, which are thoroughly grounded in the academic enterprise. This position requires and assumes a high level of knowledge, expert and independent application of that knowledge, keen prioritization, and well-developed critical thinking skills.

§ BA in Business Administration, CommunicationS, Organization Development, or other relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
§ Five years of direct experience with two years of progressively responsible administrative experience and two years of executive or board support.
§ Organizational and administrative support in settings other than traditional office setting will be reviewed and evaluated and may serve as part of experience requirement.
§ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
§ Travel planning, scheduling, and some budget-related experience required.
§ Proven project management, organization and prioritization skills, with demonstrated attention to detail.
§ Ability to manage multiple tasks, by being self-directed, able to work independently and making sound decisions when appropriate.
§ Professional demeanor, demonstrating the ability to exercise confidential and skilled judgment;
§ Experience working with project management software such as SharePoint or other similar product.
§ Knowledge of integrative and complimentary academic medicine.
§ Experience in a higher education setting.
§ Experience working with high level committees and other decision making bodies.
§ Experience working with academic medical faculty.
