This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations and support of audio visual and classroom services in support of our academic programs and faculty.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
All new employees must provide proof of fully vaccinated status on or before their first workday. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.



1. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling, delivery/pickup, user education, security, inventory, and maintenance of all audio visual equipment in support of faculty and academic instruction as well general use by administrative groups for university sponsored events. Maintains Academic Technology inventory and distribution of inventory to faculty and staff.

2. Responsible for the Faculty Services Copy Center, which includes, but is not limited to, maintenance, supply inventory/ ordering, and user education of on-site printers.

3. Responsible for daily classroom inventory to ensure adequate maintenance and availability of basic classroom set-up and supplies, and to identify needs or problems that require the attention of the Department of Information Technology, or Facilities. Completes daily classroom check of used classrooms though out the day to ensure all classrooms are in required condition.

4. Provide support of on-site classroom technology questions or concerns including AV support for classroom functions as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printing, phone, and A/V problems. Install, configure, and maintain classroom software, hardware, and related peripherals. Provide on-site and phone support and training for video conferences using Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Lync and MondPads to academic and administrative departments. Response to computer help desk ticket request in timely manner.

5. Responsible for academic departments and transfer/file conversion of digital audio recordings of class lectures, guest lecturers, video conferences, town hall presentations, seminars, and faculty candidate presentations and posting those files to off-site storage/access services and Canvas for faculty/student access.

6. Responsible for video production of instructional materials for on-line learning and classroom presentation. Assists faculty with presentation preparation, scripting and the selection of proper location for video shoots. Sets up lighting, camera(s), microphones and operates camera(s) and video recording equipment during shoot. Performs post production editing, file conversion, duplication and distribution/posting to off-site storage/access services and Canvas for faculty/student access. .

7. Act first line contact both in person, by email and telephone for the Faculty Services office. Disseminates information to all Faculty Services customers regarding systems, policies and procedures relating to the organization of the academic department and other crucial quarterly information.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. These may include but are not limited to daily mail pickup and distribution, cross training to cover other Faculty Services staff positions, and assessment support. The Director of Academic Operations & Academic Technology reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.




Skills and Ability:

  • Must have excellent customer service, oral/written communication, and organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking skills and be able to work independently without close supervision.


  • High School graduation (or GED) required.
  • Prefer at least one year of college studies.


  • 2 years relevant work experience preferred, experience with operation and maintenance of electronic and media equipment.
  • Working experience in an academic environment is preferred.
