The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Implementation Specialist will implement new HR Information Systems and streamline existing HR policies. This role develops and maintains HRIS project plans and organizes, executes, evaluates and leads implementations from kick off through closure. Reporting to the AVP of Human Resources, the HRIS Implementation Specialist will support and develops processes, communications, guidance, training and deliver support on the new system.


  1. Assessment, review, design, development, implementation and maintenance of HRIS modules, systems, processes and data.
  2. Partners with external vendors and internal resources to design and support appropriate HRIS business solutions.
  3. Develops and maintains user procedures, guidelines, design criteria and manager training on HRIS systems.
  4. Administers audit processes to ensure data integrity, system accuracy and compliance with federal, state and city regulations.
  5. Stay organized and prioritized on implementation projects, testing and auditing, including payroll, accruals, job history, workflows and employee documentation;
  6. Ensure Human Resources documents and files are implemented and maintained in accordance with guidelines;
  7. Assist in Data entry into the HRIS system and reporting on pertinent information;
  8. Additional duties as assigned by the Manager Human Resources.
  9. Comply with all company policies and procedures including regular attendance.

Typical Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area or a significant combination of related education and experience.
  2. 2+ years experience within HRIS
  3. 2+ years working with confidential data
  4. Strong familiarity with HR policies and procedures
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required.
