Bastyr University, a private non-profit regionally accredited institution, invites applications for an associate/full professor in the Department of Counseling and Health Psychology in the School of Natural Health Arts and Sciences at its Kenmore, Washington campus.


Duties: Teaching undergraduate, and potentially master’s-level, courses in areas such as developmental, multicultural and personality psychology within a department dedicated to the promotion of whole-person health. A demonstrated interest in teaching courses related to social advocacy, health policy, and intervention programs is a plus. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring, and use innovative, student-centered, instructional methods.

Counseling & Health Psychology
Position type: 

Candidate must have a doctorate in Psychology, or a related field, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and master’s level students. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice is required, as is evidence of a sustained program of scholarship and university service. Clinical supervision opportunities may be available with license eligibility in Washington state.


Hiring range: Salary and ranking DOE. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of academic teaching and those previously ranked as an associate or full professor at a regionally accredited institution.
