Bastyr University has an opportunity for a Student Affairs Coordinator to provide administrative support in our Student Resource Center on our Kenmore, WA campus.
This position manages the student residential housing to include maintaining building access cards and room keys, verifying room occupancy and assisting with student room move in/out processes. This position coordinates student events to include convocation, graduation, orientation, and community day by ordering/distributing gowns, assisting in program development, organizing event volunteers, arranging for catering and special event services, ordering supplies and assisting with setup and tear down on the day of the events. Provides administrative support for the Student Resource Center to include collecting/processing student payments for lockers, tickets, etc., producing student ID cards, updating informational bulletin boards and electronic event monitors, assisting student clubs on room reservations and meeting setups, and picking up student mail/packages and distributing to students. Assists student groups with processing expense payments.
A Bachelor’s Degree is desirable. This position requires excellent customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. A personal commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity is essential. This position requires excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to work independently to carry out assignments without close supervision. Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to details. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel is essential.
