Bastyr University Becomes a Live Well San Diego Partner

San Diego County officials designated Bastyr University as a Live Well San Diego (LWSD) recognized partner. In celebration of this honor, the California campus hosted an afternoon community event that included presentations from special guests Dr. Nick Yphantides, San Diego County Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Joseph E. Pizzorno, Jr., Bastyr University co-founder. Dr. Yphantides then joined Ms. Christi Knight, Senior Policy Adviser to Chairwoman Kristin Gaspar, San Diego County Board of Supervisors, in presenting a proclamation to Bastyr University President Harlan Patterson and campus leadership on behalf of the Bastyr University community.

“We are honored to serve as a Live Well San Diego partner,” said Harlan Patterson, President of Bastyr University, “With an aligned mission, we embrace the opportunity for collaboration with partners to support healthy, safe and thriving communities.”

As a recognized LWSD partner, Bastyr University joins a growing network of over 300 organizations working together to support the vision of a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely, and Thriving.
