The Bastyr University community honors the life and legacy of Co-Founder Dr. Les Griffith, who passed away on May 15. A tireless advocate for naturopathic medicine, Dr. Griffith helped secure licensure for naturopathic physicians in Washington State, mentored generations of practitioners, delivered more than 4,000 babies, and dedicated his career to compassionate, root -focused patient care. His lasting impact on Bastyr, the profession of naturopathic medicine, and countless patients will be commemorated with the planting of a red cedar tree on the Kenmore campus in his honor.
