Vice President, Strategy & Operations  

Bastyr University Vice President of Strategy and Operations Dr. Kathy Fritch oversees the implementation of strategic projects for the university. Her work advances the university’s mission. Dr. Fritch facilitates partnerships to strengthen the university and enhance student experiences. She oversees Bastyr University’s online learning division to make degree and certification programs accessible to more students. Dr. Fritch leads administrative work by fostering productive collaboration across administrative departments and teams to support university operations.

To her role, Dr. Fritch brings more than two decades of experience in higher education administration that includes pioneering work in online learning program development and enrollment expansion. Her track record of collaborative leadership maximizes the university’s resources while delivering exemplary outcomes for students.

Prior to her time with Bastyr University, Dr. Fritch worked as Concordia University Chicago’s Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. Her work resulted in a 50 percent increase in graduate student enrollment through the development of online academic programs. She also established mentoring support for cross-functional administrative teams.

A former fitness professional, Dr. Fritch innately understands the connection between mind, body, and spirit as a path to transforming the health of the human community.
