Tea, cake and conversation about death — Bastyr Center for Natural Health is hosting a series of "Death Cafes" to provide a safe space to talk about a taboo subject.
Faculty member Brad Lichtenstein, ND, BCB, hosts the gatherings at the Seattle clinic to encourage people to talk frankly about a topic many families avoid. He encourages people to bring questions and open minds.
"When you get together with people and start to have these conversations, it takes away some of the fear," he says.
