Job Title: HR CoordinatorBastyr University is seeking a highly organized and detailed self-starter to join our dynamic organization as an HR Coordinator. In this role, your previous experience, customer service skills, ability to learn, and drive to grow in the human resources field will be key to your success. What You Will Do: Serve as the main point of contact for general inquiries related to HR Support and coordinate payroll processes and practices including entry and review of electronic time records, sorting and distributing paychecks, creating and editing batches for web-based payroll application, maintenance of employee records, and other payroll matters including creating, editing, and distributing payroll reports. We use ADP Workforce Now, so experience there will be preferred. Support and coordinate benefits processes and data entry with excellent and detail oriented administrative support. Document scanning, data compilation, as well as general benefit program support such as enrollment reminders and notifications, and answering general inquiries. Support talent acquisition and talent management, including posting jobs internally and externally, maintaining job boards, processing and distributing incoming applications, and assisting in interview scheduling as needed. Participate in new employee onboarding. Supervise maintenance of electronic and physical personnel files. Administrate massage benefit and service and recognition program. Assist with special events, projects, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: We’re looking for someone with 2-3 years’ experience in a position with administrative support duties that include attention to detail, public contact, and handling highly confidential information. We’re looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication, active listening skills that makes stakeholders feel heard, collaborative and inclusive in approach, eager to take initiative, persistent in accomplishing things despite setbacks, resolving issues with a sense of ownership, enthusiastic and positive, conscientious in delivering quality work, adept at prioritization, and who thrives in a dynamic environment with an eagerness to learn and grow in the HR field. A background in HR, benefits, talent acquisition, or payroll is preferred, as is experience in higher education, and we will train onsite for anything outstanding. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, formal training and/or job related experience. A BA degree in HR or a related field is preferred. Details: $18-20/hr, non-exempt. This is a full-time, benefits eligible role. Hours are typically 8am-5pm, M-F.
